George Clinton and his legendary, two-headed funk monster known as Parliament/Funkadelic were known for wild stage shows featuring sci-fi imagery, extravagant costumes, and of course, their cosmic, booty-shaking, mind-warping music. These days, Clinton just calls the band the P-Funk All Stars, and they will be landing on Earth – at Central Park, to be specific – as part of this year’s Blue Note Jazz Festival on Sunday, June 27. George Clinton and Parliament/Funkadelic play two sets at Central Park Summerstage on Sunday at 2:30 and 7:30PM.
